The Georgian Society of Cinematographers (GSC), in partnership with the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA), held its second training seminar on March 24–25. The seminar focused on the theoretical and practical aspects of film lighting and grip.
The seminar was attended by students from the Faculty of Audiovisual Arts, who gained new theoretical knowledge and practical advice.

The training was conducted by members of the association: Omar Gelashvili, Vasili Dolidze, Shalva Soqurashvili, Khatia Khalvashi, and Vigen Biba Vartanov.

The Georgian Society of Cinematographers expresses its gratitude to gaffer Vazha Afrasidze and key grip Tengiz Kasradze for their support, as well as to the rental company JagaGrip for providing technical support, and to “Georgian Film” JSC, on whose premises the seminar was held.

Such events contribute to the development of knowledge among young filmmakers and to strengthening the local film industry. The Georgian Society of Cinematographers will continue to promote education and professional development, which will include many exciting initiatives in the future.
