The Georgian Cinematographers Association, as a full member of IMAGO, participated in the association’s annual gathering in Vienna on March 10–13, where representatives of professional organizations from various countries were assembled
The meeting covered important and topical issues for the cinematography field, including: decent working conditions, necessary research in this direction, and the development of new recommendations and regulations with the support of European legislative institutions
Special attention was also given to the impact of Artificial Intelligence on film production and issues surrounding the protection of copyright. Within the framework of the meeting, they discussed the admission of new members, changes to the organization’s statutes and management structure, as well as matters related to the organization of the next assembly
This year’s meeting was hosted by the Austrian Association of Cinematographers (AAC), which celebrated its 50th anniversary
In the future, the Georgian Cinematographers Association will also actively continue to collaborate with European and other international associations through the Imago platform and share professional experiences
