The Eliso Film Award, organized by the Nato Vachnadze Foundation, was held for the third time this year. The film competition aims to promote the development of Georgian cinema and support modern filmmakers. The winning filmmakers of the Eliso Film Award 2026 were traditionally announced on June 14 at the Nato Vachnadze House-Museum in Gurjaani.
A jury of Georgian and international film professionals, including Angela Chanelek, Teo Khatiashvili, Malgorzata Shumovska, Giorgi Shvelidze, and Lea Globe, announced the 2026 winners:
Best Film | “Dried Leaf”, directed by Aleksandre Koberidze.
Best Director | Tamar Kalandadze, Julien Pebrel, “The Life of Kartli”.
Special Mention for Best Director | Ketevan Vashagashvili for “Nine Month Contract”.
Best Actress | Nini Iashvili, “The Noise of the City”.
Special Mention for Best Actor | Tato Okriashvili, Saba Tsiklauri, Rati Abramishvili for “Mili”
Best Cinematography | Shalva Sokurashvili for “Mili”.
Best Editing | Anka Gujabidze, Levan Butkhuzi for “Temore”.
Best Film Music | Kote Kalandadze “Nobody’s in sight”.
